The Verksted gallery is an artists' cooperative gallery in Poulsbo which means it has an eclectic variety of art, photography, ceramics and is a great place to find a gift!

One thing I love here is the collection of small (guitars? ukeleles?) stringed instruments made out of cigar boxes.

Liberty Bay Books Poulsbo is an independent bookstore on Front Street in charming "downtown" Poulsbo, WA.

According to their website, the shop opened as Shotwell's Books in 1997, and has had a couple of owners since then with local childrens' author Suzanne Selfors being the owner currently (2024).

The shop has a variety of books, some games, and sometimes holds readings and signings from local authors.

It's a friendly, small bookstore that's fun to browse.

The current hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm.

The Poulsbo Candy Shoppe filled a need for fudge and vintage-type candy in Poulsbo, much to the chagrin of local dentists and parents (just kidding).

They have great selection of fudge as well as candy -- both current-day candy and I've found a few harder-to-find items there that recall the candy of my childhood. They also had an awesome Tootsie Pop Owl t-shirt that was mostly sold out after Viking Fest last year.

They're generally open 11-5 and are closed on Mondays.

Seattle's Public Market is a popular stop for tourists -- and as a local, I love to go there as well...I just don't get there often anymore.

The Pokemon Center in Kyoto had a different feel to it than the Tokyo one with its display of colorful Pokemon kimonos that were on display at the time.

The largest town on Orcas Island, you'll find the grocery store, restaurants, and many, many shops in Eastsound.

haven't been in this one for years...but I loved their location by Greenlake when my children were small. Now they're located in Ballard. Best children's bookshop in Seattle.
