Welcome to our PNW Hub page. This is a page to make it more easy to find our recent content about the Pacific Northwest!

This is (supposedly) a Pacific Northwest website and travel blog, though we enjoy writing about a bunch of other topics. But we wanted to gather our most recent PNWest-y content all on one page, so here it is!

What are your favorite things about the PNW? Or things to do in the PNW?

About the Pacific Northwest (Briefly)

Where is the Pacific Northwest? For the purposes of this website, we consider the PNW to be the areas of lower British Columbia, and the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The bioregion some know as “Cascadia.” We live in beautiful Washington State — so that tends to be the focal point of our content, though we love to explore other areas as well and welcome content and event submissions about any parts of this area.

Here’s what you’ll find on this page:

Pacific Northwest Posts, freshly blogged.

Book Reviews, Books

Remarkably Bright Creatures Book Review

Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby van Pelt, set in a fictional town a couple hours north of Seattle, is a good read if you like: books set in the PNW, the giant pacific octopus, or feel good reads. This is a brief review.

Books, Book Lists

Set in Seattle: Seattle-centric books to quench your lust for the Emerald City

We just updated this one…a bit. Here are some great (or possibly great, we haven’t read all of them but we eventually want to) books set in the Emerald City.

Book Reviews, Books

Review of Hollow Kingdom and Feral Creatures

Review of the first two (we hope there will be more) books in the Hollow Kingdom Series by Kira Jane Buxton: Hollow Kingdom and Feral Creatures. You might like these books if you like: crows, zombies, apocalytic fiction, animals, nature, Cheetos and/or Seattle.

PNW-focused Groups and Forums

Sometimes we just wanted to share something that didn’t require an entire article. So we’ve added groups and forums. We invite you to join in or create an (on-topic) group if you’d like. Here’s where you’ll find any PNW-related groups if there are any:

Further Thoughts

Do you have any favorite things to do in the Pacific Northwest? Consider letting our readers know by adding a post on the subject — or a PNWWiki entry, route, or submit a photo. We welcome guest posts from readers on topics such as favorite local restaurants, town and city profiles, thoughts on the area — things that would appeal either to someone from the PNW or someone planning to visit the PNW.

Or contact us and let us know if there’s a subject you’d like to read more about. We’d love to hear from you, though we can’t promise that we’ll definitely cover the topic at hand. It depends on our time and resources.

Or if you see a post here you particularly enjoy (or don’t) feel free to use the rating widget and comments to leave some feedback.

Upcoming: we plan on adding some town profiles (perhaps starting with our own little favorite, Poulsbo), some pieces that are more opinion, and things about memories of the PNW. But what we post generally depends on what our interest is at the time. So we’d welcome input you have about the Pacific Northwest.

Thank you so much for visiting, and we wish you the best in all of your explorations. Cheers!
