Liberty Bay Books Poulsbo is an independent bookstore on Front Street in charming "downtown" Poulsbo, WA.

According to their website, the shop opened as Shotwell's Books in 1997, and has had a couple of owners since then with local childrens' author Suzanne Selfors being the owner currently (2024).

The shop has a variety of books, some games, and sometimes holds readings and signings from local authors.

It's a friendly, small bookstore that's fun to browse.

The current hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm.

haven't been in this one for years...but I loved their location by Greenlake when my children were small. Now they're located in Ballard. Best children's bookshop in Seattle.

University Bookstore likes to boast of their (deserved) title of being Seattle's oldest bookstore. They started out in UW's Denny Hall in 1900 and have been in their present location since 1924.

OK, this isn't really a bookstore...but its assortment of vintage magazines and ads will appeal to a certain type of book lover.

This long-time Seattle used bookstore (with a few new titles to boot) has been in its Greenwood location for a while now, after moving down the road from its original home closer to Phinney. Has an espresso counter and meeting space in the back.
