Event Description
This annual Cascade Bicycle Club event at the Seattle Center is fun for bike gear enthusiasts.
What you’ll find are a number of consignment bikes, tables and boxes full of bike gear, used and new, ebike demos, and respresentation by some bike gear companies.
Last time we went, we saw ebike demos available from Vvolt, bag demos and sales from Swift Industries (we LOVE their bags — we own their Ardea Pack and Sidekick pouch and loved their Paloma Handlebar Bag — the adapter for it just didn’t work well with our particular bars), and displays of beautiful frame powder coating from Seattle Powder Coat.
We dug through boxes and boxes of used bike jerseys and bags at low, low, prices and came home with too many — most of which I later resold as I often don’t wear jerseys any more…but kept the Curious George jersey…well, because, obviously.
We viewed tables full of new and used bike parts.
So here’s some advice to you from a past attendee: First of all, to bring cash. Some of the vendors will accept credit cards, but not all will. Get an early admit entry…but be aware that some of the booths will just be getting set up at that time and that the bike consignment sales may not be open exactly when you arrive. If you want to avoid buying too much stuff, ride your bike there without bags so you can’t take anything home. OR if you want to buy a LOT of stuff, drive your car or haul your bike trailer! Don’t carry too much — the ebike demo places will likely hang onto your things for you, but I unfortunately was not comfortable with leaving some of my stuff there and gazed longingly at people riding around the Center grounds on tester ebikes.
Prices are as follows (at least they were this for 2024, we don’t know the prices for 2025 as we’re updating this)
- VIP Early Access: $20 online (the 8:00 time is early admit)
- VIP Early Access: $25 at door
- General Admission: $8 online (general admission time is 9:00)
- General Admission: $10 at door
- Kids 15 and under free all day
