Event Description

Bainbridge Performing Arts is presenting their annual outdoor Shakespeare play at lovely Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. If you love outdoor theater and Shakespeare in the Park, we have a post just about that here.

Here’s the blurb from BPA about this year’s play:

Experience a touch of magic under the stars this summer, as Bainbridge Performing Arts brings you Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the lush, idyllic surroundings of The Bloedel Reserve. As the sun sets, allow the warmth of a perfect summer evening to transport you to an enchanted Athenian forest, where love, laughter, and a dash of mischief unfold.

Watch the intertwining tales of love-struck Athenians, mischievous fairies, and a troupe of bumbling actors, led astray by the impish Puck. As twilight deepens, prepare to be captivated by their humorous exploits, unexpected romance, and a little fairy dust, all under the open sky.

Our talented cast will breathe fresh life into this timeless comedy, their passion illuminating the Reserve’s natural beauty. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy the thrill of Shakespeare under the stars.

This truly unique production promises to be the highlight of your summer evenings. Don’t miss your chance to revel in the enchantment of a warm summer night filled with laughter and love. Reserve your magical Midsummer night today!

Note that there is NO play on July 4th — we just can’t make single-day exceptions on our calendar here — and that the June 27 performance is a pay-what-you-can preview night.
