I miss the Greenwood Seafair parade. I grew up a Greenwood Girl and went there from the time I was a kid, eventually parading with my own kids down to Greenwood Avenue to watch.
I’m no longer in Greenwood, but I still have many memories…and the parade still goes on.
However, it now has a new route. It also seems to be happening earlier in the Summer!
The parade now assembles between 67th and 72nd and then travels North to 80th. It used to go much farther north…but I imagine that there were traffic issues around 85th and that this might have been the reason for it stopping quite a bit south of where it used to.
But I imagine the guys at the garage who used to spray water at the parade participants aren’t likely there indulging in that anymore:)
As with all parades, get there early to get a spot.
