Event Description

Spend an evening celebrating The Beatles at Field Hall! Prior to our screening of Across the Universe check out the Sunset Bar & Lounge for open Beatles karaoke, hosted by Amanda Lynn Bacon!

Field Arts & Events Hall and the upstairs Sunset Bar & Lounge will open at 5PM. Beatles Karaoke hosted by Amanda Bacon will run 5:30 – 6:45PM. Across the Universe will start in the Donna M. Morris Theater at 7PM. (Rating: PG-13, Runtime 133 min).

A trippy jukebox musical that plays out to songs by the Beatles, spun around a 1960s love story featuring a young activist (Evan Rachel Wood) and her artist boyfriend (Jim Sturgess) navigating that turbulent decade. Directed by Julie Taymor, who co-wrote the screenplay with Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Featured: performances by rock icons Joe Cocker (“Come Together”) and Bono (“I Am the Walrus,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”). The film includes 33 of the Fab Four’s compositions.

The songs of the Beatles form the backdrop for this musical tale of romance, war and peace.

Pre-show Beatles-themed karaoke will be hosted by Amanda Bacon in the Sunset Lounge beginning at 5:30 p.m

Lobby, Art Gallery & Sunset Lounge open at 5:00 p.m.

Karaoke in the Sunset Lounge from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Theater seating opens at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $12 Adult $8 Child under 12
