Event Description
I attended this in the distant past when it was the Gig Harbor Cider Swig and it was at Carrie Blake Park. It’s a LeMay Car Museum now. It was a lot of fun, and I’m sure it still is. It’s a great chance to taste a bunch of local ciders! (as well as listen to some good live music — check the event website for the full event lineup).
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!THE CIDERS RETURN!
The Cider Swig returns for an amazing 12th year with over 130 ciders (and close cousins… wine, mead, spirits and beer) to sip, great live music, contests and games, artisan vendors, and delectable “curbside cuisine” by area chefs and their food trucks!
The tasting event showcases PNW ciders, in addition to wines, meads, spirits, brews, and other regionally crafted libations. Born out of a commitment to community and the environment, and the love for local flavor, Cider Swig connects festival goers directly with the makers. And, you can take your favorites to enjoy at home, from the Swig’s Pop-up Bottle Shop!
Beyond sharing cider and other regional handcrafted sips, Washington’s largest single day cider-centered festival highlights our region’s agricultural heritage, reinforces community friendships, promotes local businesses, agricultural and environmental organizations, and showcases regional talent throughout the day.
And, remember to sign up to take on your friends and other festival-goers in the Swig’s 3rd annual Hammerschlagen, Apfelweingkrug (cider stein holding) and Keg Toss competitions! More information here.
