Event Description
Britcon is a convention for Anglophiles. We first learned about it from someone at GeekGirl Con with a moving Dahlek (we believe that it was, in fact “Dahlek Rainier” seen in the video below). Certainly, you’ll find “geeky” stuff like Dr. Who represented, and you might find some representation with some of the British stars from Star Wars, Sherlock, Harrry Potter…but you’ll also find some other British entertainment represented — there’s a film festival, for instance, with films from the UK and Ireland. I think that in the past, they’ve also had tea parties. And you can likely expect to hear lots of “British” accents.
We are not actually certain, yet, of the cost for this year’s event. It’s now a one-day event. Please check the website for details. Likewise, we are at the time of this listing not exactly sure of the event hours, just the day — so check the event website for further details.
