I'm going to post a question about this in the forum as well. If you come across this and have any opinions on the subject, check out the forum topic in this group. This came up for me because of a recent disagreement over what to do with (fairly expensive) ebikes when we wanted to go to a restaurant during a bike outing. #cycling #biketheft #lockupyourbike #bikesecurity

When you are traveling with bikes on your vehicle and want to leave the vehicle and bikes to go sightseeing or dine out, what do you do with your bikes?

Leave them on the vehicle rack.
Lock them to a stable bike rack or other secure object in town.
What? I don't leave my bikes. I take them with me into shops, restaurants, etc and never take my eye of them.

I grew up in Seattle, and still live a short ferry ride away. I love to travel but love this beautiful area of the world.

Currently, I live with my spouse and a demanding Siamese cat, but have two adult daughters who live in the area; one still in college who still graces our home often enough.

I love cycling, though a recent (and thankfully, minor, bike accident) has derailed my big cycling plans at least for the next few months.

I also love photography, bird and animals in particular, due to the challenge.

I also enjoy reading, kayaking, occasionally doing crafts, and -- apparently -- fiddling around with WordPress.
