Cheryl writes Pacific Northwest and Beyond and several other blogs. Right now, she's undergoing home renovations and renovating her blogs as well. She's also the proud new owner of an e-bike. Her skinny wheel days may be over but she's seriously into rockin' those grocery shopping trips these days on her funky looking bike with her sporty mask!

However, she's also planning on getting on the trail again and resuming writing posts on this blog about the PNW! She's also wrapping her head around finally writing that series about the North Coast 500 route she's been putting off. Life's been different this year of COVID-19, but I'm finally not letting it derail all plans!

I'm formerly an Occupational Therapist who had wanted to "be a writer," but got derailed early on partially through following the advice of those worried about me.

Now, after leaving my OT career in early 2018 -- I'm not calling it retirement, I found that I'd rather just blog and occasionally send out a query when I feel like it instead of actively trying to pursue a writing career.

I do occasional small web design projects for hire. I write on this blog and several others (LCWP, CaffeineJournal, and Ancient&Awesome) I keep things semi-managed around the house. And I was getting the chance to travel here and abroad before COVID-19 hit.

As with everyone else, my travel plans were derailed this year. And, for a while, just like everyone else, I was coping with various feelings about the state of things and let it derail not only my travel plans but my writing. But I've decided to get back into living and figure out how to continue and enjoy life while wearing my mask and my physical distancing bubble.

Some of my social accounts here on my profile are personal ones, not blog-related ones (except for the IG photos right now, those are from this website and will stay that way unless I actively start publishing personal photos on my own IG account.

I'm looking forward to getting back out and fiddling with my camera again, exploring local trails as able, and the cooler Autumn weather.
