If you see a glow in the air and leaves falling it’s that time of year! Time to start putting up your giant Skeletons, making cider, and thinking about where you’ll get the best pumpkin to grace your porch. Here’s a guide to the best pumpkin patches near Seattle — and, for that matter, in the “upper left” part of Washington State, including North of Seattle or the Kitsap Peninsula — so if you’re in Seattle some of them may require a drive or a ferry ride, but you can make that part of your fall fun. We’ve added a map, here, so you can see where they all are.
For other Autumn activities, we’re in the process of updating our Autumn activities post.

List of Pumpkin Patches Near Seattle and in NW Washington State
Here’s a list of the “upper left” Washington State pumpkin patches and farms known to us, or those added by visitors. If you don’t see your favorite patch here, you can add a location here if you’re logged in.
Some of these are small farms with simple patches which can be great if you want to avoid the chaos of some of the larger farms. Others are large farms that hold big “harvest festivals,” with things like pony rides, tractor pulls, etc. You can click on the farm name to open a page with a map and more information for each location.

- Homemade caramel apples

Scandia Patch Farm
They don't have a website, that we know of, so you'll have to verify their hours year to year.
But it's lovely place to visit, especially if you don't want to go to one of the larger pumpkin farms.
Suyematsu Farm
Hours are Monday-Friday 1:00pm -6:00pm. Saturday and Sunday are 10:00am -5:00pm, but check their website to verify.
As far as other activities, they have tractor rides and a Kiddie Hay Maze.
Mason County Pumpkin Patches
Hunter Farms
In Autumn, they have a huge pumpkin farm that features events, animals, tractor rides (you should catch the tractor out to the pumpkin patch!), and a corn/hay maze.
In the past, they've had a pumpkin catapult contest (!) But we'll need to see year to year if they're still doing that.
Their pumpkin patch generally opens up October 1, and is open throughout October.
They charge $5 admission which includes a bracelet that lets you in on the pumpkin farm, tractor rides, maze, and into the barn to look at the animals
Pierce County Pumpkin Patches
For some reason we weren’t finding any. We know they exist!!! If you know of any Pierce County pumpkin patches that should be here, please add one or let us know.
Olympic Peninsula Pumpkin Patches
We found fewer pumpkin patches in the upper left of the upper left, so both Clallam County and Jefferson County pumpkin patches are listed here. If you know of any that should be here, let us know!
Wilderbee Farm
Their pumpkin patch is just a pumpkin patch -- they don't do corn mazes, tractor rides, etc. But if you go from 12-5 on weekends, you can sip some mead at their meadery!
They also have sheep and walking trails.
Snohomish County Pumpkin Patches
For some reason, Snohomish County has a LOT of pumpkin patches. Guess it’s all the farmland.
Bob's Corn and Pumpkin Farm
The festivities at this 40 acre farm include an apple canyon, rope maze, and a 12-acre corn maze.
Note that our featured image of corn, here, is actually from another farm.
Biringer Farm
Craven Farm
The pumpkin patch features a bunch of activities from a beer garden to an "Alice in Pumpkinland" maze (which looks incredible when seen from the drone shot on their website), a Kids' Maze, tractor rides, a cow train (no, the poor cows are not pulling a train! It's a train contraption for kids that is pulled behind a tractor and painted with cow spots.), and apple canyon, rubber duck races, "Human Football," axe throwing and, of course, farm animals.
I haven't been there since my kids were small, but have fond memories of this one. Perhaps I'll go again this year!
Generally prices for the activities are $5 each, but they also sell wristbands.
Dogs are not allowed except for a few, specific event days. See Pooches in the Patch.

In addition to pumpkins, you'll find a maze, pumpkin cannon, mega slide, beer garden and a list of various attractions that is just too long to list here!
Whatcom County Pumpkin Patches
Bellewood Farms
They're open from 9-4 Wednesday-Sunday
What you should know before visiting the pumpkin patches
Can I Bring My Dog?
Most pumpkin patches do not allow pets. We’ve noted it on the individual location page if their website says, explicitly, that they do or don’t. If it doesn’t say anything, assume that you can’t bring your dog. At least one has a special day or two when dogs are allowed.
Dress for the occasion!
If you didn’t already know: pumpkin patches can get muddy! Forget wearing your heels. Get some waterproof, mud-proof boots and check the weather. I have a fond memory of walking through the mud with a wheelbarrow full of pumpkins and my (then) three-year-old daughter. But it was a mess.
Do I need reservations?
Know that some of the pumpkin farms require that you buy a ticket in advance. Some have special events or activities that require a ticket (e.g. one has campfire reservations where you can make s’mores). Please check before you go.
Also be sure to check their hours. Some pumpkin patches are not open every day, particularly the smaller ones.
