Slippery Pig Brewery was one of several small breweries in Poulsbo and also served good food and events from live music, to Karaoke, to "Beer Church." Sadly, it closed down in January 2025.

Highlights Interesting beers, good food, funky venue with live entertainment many evenings.
Additional Location Writeup Here's the writeup that we had here when this location was open: Slippery Pig Brewery Poulsbo actually used to be located outside of the "main" part of Poulsbo on Slippery Pig Road, where they hosted events, but they moved their operation to this brewpub in "downtown" Poulsbo years ago. The brewery serves food -- pub fare but good! You won't find too much for vegetarian selections here. If you're not vegan, the Boss Man is a grilled cheese sandwich with brie and pears that I love. My spouse likes to get stew when they have it. I'm not a beer drinker -- my spouse likes to characterize Slippery Pig's beers as "interesting." And, in fact, they've been represented at Strange Brewfest in Port Townsend. Along with more traditional beers, you might find beers like "Pie Banana" and "Orange Ginger Wit." It's not hard to find. You'll find the big Uff Da mural on the side of the building if you're not sure! They also host a number of events, including "Beer Church" on Sunday mornings, live music in the evenings, and often pinball contests or trivia nights. Read our post about things to do in Poulsbo.

Summary

Just a brief description since I’m fixing this listing right around the time that Slippery Pig is, sadly, gone. I didn’t go there enough, but I did go frequently when we had friends or family over. I was looking forward to spending more time for evening events there, like trivia or karaoke night, once my spouse retired!

Slippery Pig Brewery

One of my favorite places to hang out in Poulsbo! The food is fantastic reasonably priced. The staff is wonderful and there's always something happening @The Pig! Home of the PB&J (if you don't know, definitely look it up!) and supporters of live music. So glad they are here!
Limited menu food was good. Great
potato chips. Didn't see fries offered.it is dark and dingey inside. Odd mix of music .. I had a Italian Grinder the wife had a Grilled BLT
Cool spot. Enjoyed the karaoke night on Fridays. The nachos I got there were pretty lackluster, especially considering the cost. Don't hold it against them tho. They had a lot of interesting things on the menu, including some interesting Scandinavian stuff on there. Lutefisk tacos?!? Whoa. Not my thing, but intriguing. Will go back.
This is a nice casual and welcoming pub. Several very unique drafts. I had the Dandelion Bitter and the Young Rhubarb IPA. They have a full bar and food menu. We were there for happy hour and had a Caprese Slider and a Pork Slider. The service was fantastic. Our waitperson was very helpful explaining food items. They were attentive too.
We enjoyed our food here. Everything is smoked, as is the custom with this town. So, it was a bit weird to have smoke taste in a Reuben. But it was good. The only thing sub par here was the beer that didn’t have carbonation. Aside from that, this was a nice kid friendly place.
