We think of it more as an area or historic district.
The area has about 20 piers with shops, restaurants, and things to do.
Some of our many suggestions -- we don't dine there often anymore but spent enough time there growing up:
- Go on the Seattle Great Wheel
- Visit the Seattle Aquarium
- Rent a bike
- If you like oddities, visit the Old Curiosity Shop. This is now in a different location than when I was growing up, but it still has its mummies and other weird stuff.
- Get fish and chips at Ivars

We’ve put the “Seattle Waterfront” under the “neighborhoods” category here as we’re not sure where else to put it.
