I'd say yes! I enjoy their fish and chips, though I haven't been there recently -- and that's not because it wasn't good, just because I don't go out for fish and chips much. However, my husband's opinion is that they're OK but you should eat them in the restaurant as he thinks they don't transport well.
But it's not all fish and chips, they offer other seafood -- and food -- as well.
The restaurant had closed recently, which was sad to see after 26 years in Poulsbo, but new owners purchased it and it reopened in May 2023. The new owners have done some remodeling on the inside and the food may be a bit different now -- I think it's time for me to take another visit!
One thing I like about going to JJ's in the warmer months is that they have an outside sitting area -- limited, so you're lucky to get a table -- but I like to have a drink and watch the cars coming and going from the parking lot, and people passing by.
Regarding the "no pet" rule checked off here, I HAVE seen people with dogs at the outdoor seating area and, of course, service animals are always allowed.
JJ’s Fish House Poulsbo has been right there on the parking lot by the Poulsbo waterfront for a long time. They claim the best fish and chips in Poulsbo. But do they?
