Get out and ride through “Little Provence” in Washington State. Sequim has lots of lavender in bloom late in the Summer and this annual ride takes you through Sunny-er Sequim and past lavender fields, and along parts of the wonderful Olympic Discovery Trail.

There’s a metric century ride and a shorter “fun ride.” You can register here. 1

If you’re wondering about lodging in the area, here’s a map of some area hotels:

There are also a number of very nice B&Bs in Sequim and if you want to go less-expensive, there’s also good camping at Dungeness Natural Area (take more than one day and take time to walk and explore the sand spit).
