We love the Seattle Outdoor Theater festival so much that we’re listing it a bit early!
Annually, in Volunteer Park, GreenStage and other Shakespeare groups (which vary from year to year) put on a bunch of free outdoor performances. Of course, you’re free to donate! (We did and got our groundling button!)
We have a post here about other outdoor Shakespeare productions that currently is out of date, but which we’re planning to update this year.
But we DO know that in 2024, GreenStage will be presenting Twelfth Night and Henry VI parts two and three, as well as a couple of abbreviated “Backyard Bard” productions.
We don’t know, yet, what are the times for the plays in the lineup, so you’ll have to check their website for details.
Our favorite thing to do is pack a picnic, bring a blanket (but DON’T bring tall lawn chairs which will block others’ views!) and enjoy a (hopefully) sunny afternoon. The play’s the thing!
