Event Description

Mussels in the Kettles is a non-competitive bike ride through Fort Ebey and the Kettles trail system.

From just a bit of experience riding on just a small part of the Kettles trail system, I know that part of it is pretty easy and my non-mountain biker body and my gravel-type bike was able to handle it. So I assume that the easy “green” route would be able to handle a bike like mine — not a mountain bike, but with some beefier tires. I think for the moderate and difficult routes, you’d want a mountain bike. But I’d check with the organizers if you’re not sure.

So this ride has a few different difficulty levels to accommodate different types of riders and riding abilities. However, it is NOT a road ride — make sure that you have an appropriate bike for this ride.

It happens at the same time as Penn Cove Musselfest so be ready for some mussels!

Not yet sure of the cost of this specific ride!
