If you don’t want visit Leavenworth in the Winter, but you don’t want to, or can’t, take the drive, you can take a day tour from Seattle like this one, which leaves early in the morning — and, we would assume, comes back late enough for you do view the town lit up.
Our choice would be to stay overnight…HOWEVER, unless you book early holiday lodging in Leavenworth is limited so this would be an alternative way to check out the town during its popular holiday season.
