I found David Sedaris years ago through picking up his book Me Talk Pretty one Day (still my favorite of his). His personal family essays range from hilarious, to irreverant, to heartbraking — often in the same piece of writing. The Santaland Diaries from his book Holidays on Ice is also an annual holiday favorite read.
David Sedaris generally comes to Seattle’s Benaroya Hall annually — but he’s coming to other PNW locations on his tour this Spring. Tickets range from $45-75
We’ve seen Sedaris’ lectures in Seattle a few times and he’s an entertaining speaker — and I appreciate that he seems to take time to sign all the books (though I’ve never had the patience to stand in the line and get one signed).
