Kitsap Salmon Tours at Chico Creek Mouth

November 9, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Kitsap Salmon Viewing Issaquah Salmon Days Salmon Ink drawing

Every November when it’s time for the salmon to spawn, several sites in Kitsap have a salmon viewing day in area parks, hosted by WSU.  It’s advised to bring polarized sunglasses, if possible, to get a better look.

At Chico Creek Mouth, according the organizers:

Come see the results of restoration work on the lower reaches of Chico Creek. A new trail allows people to reach the delta, a popular fishing spot during salmon runs. Walk the trail to view returning salmon and talk with experts from the Great Peninsula Conservancy and Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife about this restoration project.

Of course, it’s possible to go on your own and see the salmon on other days as well.
