Greenwood Seafair Parade
July 28 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
If you’re reading this, please doublecheck the event date. The Greenwood Parade was canceled for 2020. We’ve added it to our calendar for 2021 so we can make sure to update it, but the date is not set in stone. This event usually happens the third or fourth Wednesday in July. Check back for updates.
Even though I’m no longer a resident of Greenwood, my entire formative life was spent there and I went to this parade nearly every July so I consider this my parade (even though I no longer attend usually as it requires a ferry ride for me now). The Greenwood Seafair Parade is one of the oldest Seafair parades in Seattle and features the usual fare of floats, princesses, pirates, candy-throwing, keystone kops, and vigilantes.
In 2019, the date is July 24, specific times are not yet posted, but last years parade was from 6-8 so I’m using those times until I learn more.
As with most parades, bring your chairs and blankets and get there early to get a spot. The parade generally starts on Greenwood and 95th, proceeds down Greenwood then turns west on 85th street.
